Another Fantastic Series!!!!!

I loved this book. I am a huge fan of Taylor Lee and started reading her books with her All Fired Up Series. She writes stories of romantic suspense with Alpha men and the women who "tame" them. LOL This new series is all about sexy, smart, able to do anything a man can do ladies and the men who are captivated by them. Sapphire is the first in this series. She is very independent, ignores orders but gets the job done. She is the newest member of a team that has been working for months to take down a man who runs a club but also deals in selling girls to high powered men. This story keeps you on the edge of your seat with plenty of sexy banter. It's not erotic but has hot spots to keep you intrigued. When she meets Jase, she groups him in the "sexy and he knows it" group but he is really a true gentleman (a dirty talking one) who just wants to protect her and it really bothers him that he has to bring her into the club as "bait". The story kept me reading until I finished it and I wanted more. I'm looking forward to reading the next books in this series.
Do yourself a favor. If this is your first Taylor Lee book (where have you been hiding), read it. Then go read more of her books. You will enjoy each and every one of them.

A good start to a new series

Sapphire is the first in a new series by Taylor Lee. I am a fan of this author and have found her books to be full of action and suspense along with the steamy sex. In this new series Ladies of the Night (LOTN) we have a group of ladies that are ex-military working in a secretive security organization handling cases that are dangerous as they are bringing the criminals to justice that have escaped until now.
Gabriella, code name Sapphire, is hired to seduce and capture the leader of an international human trafficking ring. Col. Jase Malone has been working undercover on this case for over 6 months and they need a particular person as bait, and Sapphire is just that person. The only problem is that Sapphire has trouble following directions and Jase is falling in love with her and wants to protect her and doesn’t want her on the case, but knows that is not an option.
I was excited when given the opportunity to read this book and was slightly disappointed. I felt the story was more rushed than her other books and the time-frame over the course of the book was too short for me for what Gabriella and Jase were fighting. I also felt the sex was not up to Ms. Lee’s previous books. I can say that it is a good start to a series, just needed more time for the characters to grow.

First I would like to say that I love Taylor Lee as an author and this book did not disappoint in the Alpha male and strong heroine characters. The characters, as always, had strong personality and a lot of depth to them. I liked the fact that the main character was a female. I thought they had great chemistry together and the build up to the romantic scene was great. With that being said I didn't like the way the book skipped right over the sexual encounter. I wanted the encounter to be a part of the book. I was disappointed to find the beginning of the next chapter to be the next day. Wanted more!! Also, I felt that the story had been told before in one of Ms. Lee's earlier books to a certain degree. That is the reason for my 4 stars instead of 5. All in all though it is a great book!! Don't miss out.
