About the Author
Robert W. Taylor is professor and director of the Justice Administration and Leadership Program in the Department of Criminology at the University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to assuming this position, he was the founding director of the Caruth Police Institute. The Institute was established through a $9.5 million grant from the Communities Foundation of North Texas in January 2008, and is located within the Dallas Police Department as a part of the University of North Texas at Dallas. For nearly 15 years, Dr. Taylor was professor and chair of the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of North Texas at Denton. He has an extensive background in academic and professional criminal justice, having served as a sworn police officer and major crimes detective (in Portland, Oregon) and as an active consultant tovarious U.S. and international criminal justice agencies. He has authored or coauthored over one hundred andfifty articles, books, and manuscripts focusing on police administration, contemporary police problems, internationaland domestic terrorism, human and drug trafficking, computer fraud, and criminal justice policy and has been the recipient of nearly $15 million in external funding. Dr. Taylor was awarded the University of NorthTexas Regent’s Lecture Award for 2003 for his work in the Middle East, and in 2008, the Academy of Criminal JusticeSciences presented Dr. Taylor with the O.W. Wilson Award “in recognition of his outstanding contribution topolice education, research and practice.” He is an active member of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and the American Society of Criminology.

Eric J. Fritsch is professor and chair of the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of NorthTexas in Denton, Texas. He has authored and coauthored several books, journal articles, book chapters, and technical reports. Many of his publications focus on juvenile justice, in particular juvenile violence. He is the founding editor of Youth Violence and Juvenile Justice: An Interdisciplinary Journal. His areas of interest include juvenile justice and delinquency, gangs, criminological theory, law enforcement, criminal procedure, research methods, and organizational assessment. Prior to attending graduate school, he was a police officer and a substance abuse counselor.

This item came damaged quite badly, mainly this review is for record of damaged product received. 10:08 AM 1/24/2017 package was left at side door, physically brought in item at noon (same day), and took picture of book. All the others in my order came in acceptable condition besides this one.

Yes, but rather eccentric decisions by Arden

The play is a good example of Fletcher's talents yes. Yet its real merit is its riffing on Shakespeare's late romance. But I must say it is odd, to say the least, that the good people at Arden are publishing much second (or third) rate material from the Jacobean era while overlooking such masterpieces as "The Revenger's Tragedy," "The Alchemist," "Volpone," "The Changling," "Women Beware Women," "The Malcontent" and the list goes on. The only noteworthy plays that have been published under the "Early Modern" moniker are "The Duchess of Malfi," "The Spanish Tragedy," and "Tis Pity She's a Whore". Luckily for us there are the good publishers at New Mermaids and Revels who ensure that these excellent plays are kept before the reading (if not the theater going) public. And yes, I know this forum should be for critiques of the text under question; this is a review of the poor publishing practice of Arden - if not here, where? Too, an indication that the public is not buying is the lack of reviews for these texts.

next life

well narrated by the expert in the field. It is a fascinating story, and actually Venter underplays it as he does not delve into the multiple applications that can be derived from "new" cells. I am sure he is aware of what can be done with new cells, but somehow he does not spell it out, leaving it mostly to the reader's imagination. But Venter has been the first in other things, and it does not surprise me that he wanted to the first in replacing a "useless" nucleus with one made to order. Good luck to him; he deserves it.

The author is not just telling a story, he is telling his story of his life's pursuit of what most considered impossible at the time. Ventor and other real scientists should write more for intelligent citizens who wish be informed

J. Craig Ventor is without doubt a genius of DNA and molecular biology. He revolutionized the field of DNA sequencing.
The book contains much interesting information, but his authoring skills do not match his science. In particular the book is not always well organized. It should also be 100 pages longer. Dr. Venter has many interesting, even startling, observations but leaves us thirsty for more details. For these reasons I only give it 3 stars for style.

Now for the other side. If he writes a sequel, I will buy it. Regrettably popular science writing has declined into junk headlines and trivia. It is very hard for non-experts to find out what is going on in this and other vital fields. Dr. Ventor and other real scientists should write more for intelligent citizens who wish be informed. 5 stars for his effort.

Author Richard W. Wetherill is known for his many contributions as an author, teacher, executive, and management consultant. Over the six decades of his own highly successful career, he inspired many executives to find success and helped many companies to solve their most complex management problems. In 1929, Mr. Wetherill discovered a natural law controlling people's personal and interpersonal behavior. The law states that a person is required to think, say, and do what is right in order to get a right result. It further states that when he has a personal problem or trouble, it is because something is wrong about his thinking, conversation, and behavior. In addition to stating the law of behavior, Mr. Wetherill explains the penalty that results from attempted violation or disregard for that law. As with all natural laws, the behavioral law is self-enforcing. The person who deviates from what he knows is right installs, in the recesses of his mind, the wrong thinking he uses to justify his behavior.

Better than the best healing medications on the market!

This book has already changed my life with the removal of just three major distortions! As a result, I have regained my stress-free life back. It is apparent to my wife, my daughter, and to those that I work with. They've all but come right out and ask what new medicines I've been taking. What's funny is, that since I've gotten rid of these major distortions, I'm slowly and consistently getting off all of my medications!!!

This will save me a lot of prescription costs each month. Lol. However, I can only imagine what lies ahead for me when I continue to be sensitive to what my conscience is telling me. Each and every time I will pay attention and then correct any and all distortions on the spot.

The reason this book is so powerful to me is that it puts into scientific and logical reasoning what the Holy Bible commands us to do in spiritual terms. This book and the Bible go hand in hand.

You can't go wrong with this book if you will sincerely be open and receptive to what your emotions are telling you. Good luck.
