Scott is correct!

I have both of Scott's 'fake books.' I have been taking lessons for years and going nowhere. Using his books and tips, I can now play songs - good songs, beautiful, contemporary songs. And the more I practice, the better I play. If you are interested in pure joy and musical entertainment, Scott's fake books are the way to go. I recommend them.

Good Book

I had been taking lessons for two years. I didn't enjoy what I was playing. I bought this book and within two weeks I found myself playing nightly, often skirting my chores to keep playing. I would like to have a few more chords in my right hand but overall it sounds much better than what my teacher had been giving me. Many of the songs are the same as in my other fake books.

Not as good as Vol. 1

I was looking forward for years for another Piano Guy fake book. The first had great songs and actually sounded good in the key of C. Of course, the next statement is my personal opinion, so take it for what it's worth. The choice of songs in this book is poor. In Vol. 1 I enjoy almost all the songs, even though I didn't know all of them. I still enjoyed learning them. In Vol. 2 very few. I don't know how they chose the play list, but they need to do better in Vol. 3. Also, not all songs sound good in the key of C. My advise is to look at the song list and decide for yourself.
For Scott: How about pushing us to a book or songs in the key of D. One black note we should be able to handle, and it would open up many more songs.
