The book starts out with choosing the ideal property for a vacation rental and how to achieve the biggest profit. So it’s perfect if you are contemplating owning a vacation rental and can’t decide whether to look locally or overseas. She even explains how she would go about choosing her next dream home based on her experience with her Fiji Vacation Rental home. Her advice could have you attracting vacationers 52 weeks out of the year.

1st Edition was good. This one's better!

I read the first edition of this book and it was chock full of great information - a real how-to book on owning and operating vacation rental property around the world. While it was great, that edition was a little rough around the edges. This time around, Carson has polished things up and added more information.
This book shows you how to operate a vacation rental property at the "fit Tab A in Slot B" level of detail. It's the only book you'll need in order to buy, own, and operate the dream beach house or cabin in the north woods you've always dreamed of owning, but didn't think you could afford. Renting your vacation place out part of the time can make it affordable, and Carson shows you how.

Best book out there on the subject of owning and operating a successful Vacation Rental. I have been operating my own vacation rental business for over 15 years and have read many books on the subject. This is hands down the best out there. Beth covers every important area and as much as I know about the business, she added a few gems that I hadn't considered. This is an excellently written book and will educate and inspire the new and seasoned vacation rental owner. Follow her advise and you will be very successful yourself. I also thoroughly enjoyed the book. It is a quick, informative, pleasurable read.
